With a growing family this much loved brick and tile home nestled in the heart of St. Albans was becoming a tad cramped for our clients. Due to its prime location moving was not an option, so the time had come to create a more modern and spacious family home.
With the addition of structural steel portal frames, the rear wall of the house was completely removed to make way for the construction of a significant extension to accommodate the new kitchen/living area. The extension features a generous scullery, roof windows and wall to wall bifold doors leading onto a large hardwood outdoor entertaining area.
An extremely complex roof design, pitched by hand the old fashioned way, now seamlessly ties the extension into the existing house. New colour steel roofing replaces the existing tile across the entire house to freshen the look.
The outdated sunroom off the master bedroom was also transformed into a fully tiled contemporary en-suite with walk in robe.
New double glazed windows throughout, modern paint scheme, hardwood deck to the front entrance and feature Linea weatherboard sections finish off the house leaving the family with a happier, healthier home.
Curtis was so easy to deal with and his fantastic communication meant we were kept in the loop during the whole construction process. Curtis took the time to discuss all aspects of the build in a manor we could understand. Curtis was able to manage all the subcontractors which made our life easier.
We lived in our home during the renovation and Curtis was very respectful and personable, which made our whole family’s life a lot easier through a period which could have been stressful.
The whole project was finished to a high standard, reflecting Curtis’s passion and eye for design and build detail. My family and I were delighted with the outcome and would recommend Stealth Construction to anyone considering a build or renovation."
